History
The institute was previously an Elementary Teachers Training Institute before 1956. After that this institute was up-graded to Govt. Secondary Training School, in the Year 1972. Again the Secondary Training School was up-graded to D.I.E.T. as per the order of the Human Resource Development Govt. of India. New Delhi as per the National Policy of Education, 1986 with the joint collaboration of Govt. of Odisha. D.I.E.T.s were established in the state and started functioning since 24.10.1989. But this institute is functioning from 2010.
